# Keyboard shortcuts

Source: https://codeherder.com/docs/keyboard-shortcuts/

Every keyboard shortcut in the web app, which ones need single-key shortcuts turned on, and where each one works.

This page lists every keyboard shortcut in the web app. On Apple devices, use `⌘` where the table shows `Ctrl`, and `Option` where it shows `Alt`.

## All shortcuts

| Shortcut | What it does | Needs single-key shortcuts |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `⌘K` / `Ctrl+K` | Focus the search box from anywhere, even from a text field. It does nothing while a dialog is open | No |
| `/` | Focus the search box. It types a slash when your cursor is in a text field | Yes |
| `Alt+T` / `Option+T` | Move focus to the action button on the newest toast | No |
| `+` or `=` | Zoom in on a graph, a trace, or an image preview | Yes |
| `-` or `_` | Zoom out on a graph, a trace, or an image preview | Yes |
| `0` | Reset the zoom | Yes |
| `⌘Enter` / `Ctrl+Enter` | Send the comment, message, or note you are typing | No |
| `Escape` | Close the open dialog, menu, or panel | No |

The zoom keys act on the graph, trace, or preview that has focus. The search panel has its own keys. See [Global search](https://codeherder.com/docs/search/).

## Turn single-key shortcuts off

Keys that need no modifier can clash with speech input or a switch device. Open the account menu and select **Keyboard shortcuts** to turn them off. The shortcuts that use a modifier key keep working.
